BRIEF 2 - COLLABORATION WITH HOME CINEMA

REQUIRMENTS:

- For the 2nd Brief of this authorship Unit, the ambitious goal is to create film posters for HOME cinema.

- The impact of Covid-19 has meant a halt on film production; there are no new films being released. What HOME does so well is put showings on for old classics such as ALIEN, Blade runner and some Hitchcock films. I am planning on contacting HOME and proposing the idea of designing film posters for some of their upcoming re- released classics. I won’t be asking for any money or commission but I just want my Posters to be on the walls or in the lobby and act as a complimentary piece of poster art.

- This will be a partnership/collaboration brief alongside HOME. Just to say that I have had my work used to promote films at HOME would be an incredible achievement. The brief will be my response to their choice of old classics that they will be showing in the near future. I will make poster art like I have for brief 1 but this time, the films will have been selected by HOME.

 Planner / Scheme of work

stage one  PROPOSAL/IDEA PITCH

-Comprise email with proposal of the collaboration, make it formal, make it read well and get the point across clearly. Follow up the email with a phone call (harder to say no on a phone call). Present the poster work to them that has been created over Brief 1. Have confidence that this plan will work but do not put all your hope into it, there are plenty more venues, such as small independent cinemas, theatres etc... adapt if plan if HOME decline the collaboration.

Stage two  OUTCOMES
